Happy Cinco de Mayo everyone! I just got back from a training hike and campout at Walls of Jerico in northeast Alabama. However, I shot a lot of video and it is going to take some time to sort through the good, the bad, and the ugly so that I can put something together for the blog. Stay tuned for that in the next day or two.
My wife told someone that if this trip didn’t get here soon, she thought I would explode. I’ve planned, plotted, packed, repacked for several months now and last weekend, we went to the grocery where I picked up most of the food for our trip. So, what did I do that night (2.5 weeks from the trip)? I divided all my food up by day and by meal. I’m a bit neurotic that way.
I think this is pretty close to my final gear list minus my food and clothing.

- Magellan convertible pants – 1
- Adidas Climalite shirts (short and long sleeve) – 2 or 3
- Adidas 1-Side Hiking Fleece
- Original Buff (for headwear)
- Socks, underwear, etc.
T minus 9 days and counting!
