Week 2 is done and went much more smoothly than week 1. I felt pretty strong throughout the week and had no problem pushing the pace on Saturday. I struggled a little on the long run on Sunday, but I think it was because I went out a bit too hot and I also think the heat got to me a little bit.
Week 3 of my Fatass-to-Marathon Badass (F2MB) Makeover Program begins to ramp up the long run on Sunday while the short runs during the week stay the same.
Mon: Cross-Training (Cycling)
Tue: 3 mi run
Wed: 5 mi run
Thu: 3 mi run
Sat: 5 mi run at target pace
Sun: 9 mi run
NOTE: I’m following Hal Higdon’s convention of considering Sunday as the end of the week.
I’m going to have a bit of trouble this week because I’ll be in Houston Monday through Wednesday. I’ll be taking my running gear so I can try to get out early, but it will be tough as all my meetings start at 8:00 or 8:30 and I’ll need to drive from North Houston to the Energy Corridor out west on Wednesday. I’ll figure it out, though.
